The long anticipated opening of Wright Brothers Post 210 is finally came December 31st 2009. It is with great honor and excitement that we welcome you to the Wright Brothers American Legion web site. We are a dedicated and proud group of local veterans and friends from the Wright Brothers American Legion - Post 210, the Ladies Auxiliary, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Montgomery Alabama Area. We would like to invite everybody to come out and take a look at the much awaited post and to see all the hard work that went into bringing this Post to Montgomery Alabama.

Please check our calendar to see some of the many events coming up over the next few months.

We hope to have our grand opening ceremony very soon and ask you to please keep checking the website for the date to be announced.

We support our fellow American troops - especially those from Montgomery Alabama area - who risk their lives for our freedom.  Veterans have served with valor in the Mexican War, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War (Desert Storm), Operation Iraqi Freedom, and other military conflicts overseas.  We acknowledge the following branches of the military: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Army & Air National Guard, and the Merchant Marines.

The Wright Brothers American Legion Post 210 welcomes all Veterans, Sons, and Spouses for Membership.

To join us, simply apply! Membership applications are very short and eligibility requirements are the only prerequisite. Also here at Wright Brothers Post 210 you active military ID allows you access to the post.

Our Mission

  • provide valuable and up-to-date information to local veterans, active duty military personnel, reservists, and the community

  • serve as a unified voice for veterans in Montgomery area and maintain positive exposure.

  • continue to advocate for veterans affairs and to put veterans affairs at the forefront in this community

  • participate in community service and strengthening our relationships with the residents of the Montgomery area and around the state of Alabama.

  • continue to provide and advocate in local youth programs to strengthen, educate and instill the American way of life in our future leaders
